AMD enthusiasts have something exciting to look forward to as the company’s partners have officially announced the launch date for the much-anticipated X870E and X870 motherboards. Set for release on September 30th, these motherboards will hit the market with a range of prices starting from 2099 Yuan up to 4999 Yuan for the high-end models.
For several weeks, the tech community has been buzzing about these new motherboards, with details trickling out but no confirmed launch date—until now. Confirming earlier speculation, AMD’s major partners, including MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte, and ASRock, will debut their X870E and X870 series motherboards precisely at 21:00 Beijing time.
Pricing is a key piece of this puzzle. The AMD X870 boards will offer a more budget-friendly option compared to their X870E counterparts. For instance, the ASRock X870 Pro RS WiFi will retail for 2099 Yuan, approximately $298 USD, which is about $100 more than what consumers might expect to pay in North America. Similarly, the ASUS Prime X870-P will be available for slightly over 2100 Yuan, around $300 USD. In the more premium X870E lineup, the Gigabyte X870E AORUS PRO ICE and the MSI MPG X870E Carbon WiFi will start at about 3499 Yuan, or $497 USD.
Higher-end models will naturally fetch higher prices. The Gigabyte X870E AORUS Master will command around 4999 Yuan ($710 USD), and ASUS offers its X870E Crosshair HERO for 4800 Yuan ($682 USD). If you’re looking for something slightly less expensive, the X870E ProArt Creator WiFi and the ASRock X870E Taichi are also noteworthy options, priced at 4600 Yuan ($654 USD) and 4299 Yuan ($611 USD) respectively.

They will also support AMD Ryzen 9000 series CPUs straight out of the box, without any need for a BIOS upgrade, and will boast higher memory clock support compared to their X670E/X670 predecessors. For those who can’t wait, the X670E and X670 motherboards also offer full Zen 5 processor support and are currently available.
