The Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch has just received an exciting software update, version 3.5.4.8, marking its second upgrade this year. Previously, version 3.4.4.7 launched in January, but users soon voiced concerns over increased battery drain, potentially linked to the new heart rate monitoring feature.
With the latest update, users can now enjoy a brand-new Ski machine workout. This feature tracks several metrics like distance and stroke rate, enhancing your fitness journey. Anglers will appreciate the improved Fishing activity, which now logs the GPS location of the fishing rod, aiding in the discovery of prime fishing spots. Strength training has also been upgraded, making it simpler to adjust settings during breaks.
The update introduces a fresh Audio Control app, giving users seamless music control directly from their wrist when connected to a smartphone. Additionally, when importing a route track using the Zepp app, users can now opt to display checkpoints on their smartwatch. Enhanced notification logic ensures fewer distractions during workouts. However, there is no explicit mention of a fix for the battery drain issue.
The update, with a file size of 13.47 MB, can be accessed through the Zepp app by navigating to Profile, selecting Amazfit T-Rex 3, and choosing System Update. Currently, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 is available in various colors, including the newly introduced Haze Grey, and can be purchased from major retailers for $279.99.
