Amazfit is pushing a fresh software update to the T-Rex 3 smartwatch, rolling out version 4.5.3.3. Landing about a month after the previous release that introduced map-focused changes, this update continues the navigation theme while adding new workout functionality and stability improvements.
The biggest addition in software version 4.5.3.3 is an offline route planning tool built into the watch’s Map app. Once the update is installed, T-Rex 3 owners can create routes directly on the smartwatch without needing an active connection. You can plan a path from your current location to a selected destination or generate a loop route for out-and-back style training. The navigation experience also gets a safety net thanks to automatic rerouting, which can help get you back on track if you deviate from your planned course.
This update also expands the watch’s sports tracking lineup with Recreational Diving. The new activity can be accessed from Workout, then More workouts, and then Diving. For users who already rely on the T-Rex 3 for outdoor adventures, the added diving option makes the watch more versatile for water-based training and trips.
Zepp Health also highlights refinements aimed at divers and endurance athletes. The company says the depth algorithm has been optimized for both Outdoor Freediving and Indoor Freediving workouts. BioCharge, the watch’s energy level monitoring feature, is also getting an algorithm upgrade intended to improve how it estimates and tracks your daily energy status.
On the navigation side, the turn reminder page shown during route navigation in workouts has been adjusted, which should make directions easier to follow at a glance when you’re moving.
Finally, version 4.5.3.3 includes bug fixes targeting freediving depth charts and addressing crashes reported during ultra-long outdoor workouts, a welcome change for users who log extended sessions.
The Amazfit T-Rex 3 update is rolling out in phases, so it may not appear for everyone at the same time. Once it reaches your region, you’ll be able to download and install software version 4.5.3.3 through the Zepp app.
