Amazfit smartwatches are getting a major iPhone upgrade with interactive iOS notifications
Zepp Health has announced a new update that makes select Amazfit smartwatches far more useful for iPhone users. Instead of simply showing iOS notifications on the watch screen, supported Amazfit models can now interact with alerts directly from the wrist.
With this upgrade, users can do more than just read or dismiss incoming notifications. The new interactive iOS notification support allows quick replies to messages, app-specific actions, and even image previews inside certain alerts. This means Amazfit smartwatch owners can respond faster without constantly reaching for their iPhone.
One of the most practical examples is security camera notifications. When motion is detected, a compatible Amazfit watch can show a snapshot preview right on the display. That makes it easier to quickly check what is happening at home or outside the door without unlocking a phone.
The feature is still in beta, so availability is limited for now. At launch, interactive iOS notifications are supported on three Amazfit models: Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra, Amazfit Balance Ultra, and Amazfit Balance 3.
Zepp Health has also confirmed plans to bring the feature to more devices in the future. Upcoming supported models are expected to include the Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro, Amazfit T-Rex 3, Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro, Amazfit Bip Max, and Amazfit Active 3 Premium.
There is one major limitation: the feature is currently available only in the European Union. This regional rollout is linked to Apple’s requirements under the Digital Markets Act, which has pushed broader access to certain iOS functions for third-party devices and services.
For now, it is unclear whether Amazfit users outside the EU will receive the same interactive notification features. If Zepp Health expands support globally, this could become one of the most meaningful updates for iPhone owners using Amazfit smartwatches.
The update marks an important step forward for Amazfit wearables, making them more responsive, convenient, and competitive for users who want a smartwatch experience that goes beyond basic notification mirroring.
