Amazfit Smartwatch Range Receives New Update Introducing Fresh Features

Amazfit has unveiled a new update for a variety of its smartwatches, providing users with fresh tools and improved functionalities. While this update does not upgrade the devices to Zepp OS 3.5, which is expected at a later date, it does add a slew of enhancements to existing features.

The smartwatches set to receive this latest software refresh include the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra, Falcon, Cheetah Pro, Cheetah Square, and Cheetah Round. The announcement of the update was made through the company’s official Facebook community.

Part of the update includes enhancements to the offline maps, which now feature road names, making navigation simpler for users. Furthermore, those who enjoy winter sports will appreciate the ability to fine-tune the sensitivity for automatic detection when engaging in skiing, snowboarding, and alpine skiing.

For runners, the Zepp Coach Running Plan has been upgraded to provide a more tailored experience starting from the onboarding questionnaire. In addition to these activity-specific improvements, the update also introduces a tool that enables users to share critical health metrics, such as heart rate data, with third-party devices; an example of this would be a cyclist connecting to a bike computer.

Additionally, the update boasts GPS Time Calibration to ensure accurate data tracking, even in remote areas where reception might be typically unreliable.

Amazfit has already started deploying the update to its smartwatches, but it has noted that the distribution process may take several days to complete. Users are encouraged to monitor the Zepp Health app for the new software availability, as the rollout is being managed by device type and geographic region. However, there is not a precise timeline for when the update rollout will be finalized for all users.

With the new update, Amazfit aims to enrich the user experience of its range of smartwatches by refining existing features and introducing novel capabilities to meet the varying needs of its customer base.
