The Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch is receiving a major software update packed with exciting new features. Launched initially in China, this update introduces scuba diving and HYROX modes, alongside a clever safety light, improved display settings, and enhanced map navigation.
This is the first update for the Balance 2, which made its debut in May 2025 and is now available worldwide alongside the Helio Strap. Zepp Health shared details of these upgrades on Weibo, a popular Chinese social media platform.

Diving fans will appreciate the new recreational scuba diving mode, which supports dives up to 45 meters deep. This feature accommodates single cylinder, air, nitrox, and no-stop diving modes.
For nighttime activities, the new safety light ensures visibility during workouts. The update further refines the topographic map navigation and enhances the display for app and activity lists, as well as map and track navigation.
Currently, the update is available for users in China, with international rollout details yet to be announced. Keep an eye out for these improvements, promising to elevate the Amazfit Balance 2 experience.
