AI Server Boom Fuels Rising Demand for Yea Shin Tech’s TVS and ESD Solutions

AI Server Boom Fuels Demand for TVS and ESD Protection Devices as Yea Shin Expands Capacity

The rapid growth of artificial intelligence infrastructure is creating fresh momentum across the semiconductor supply chain, especially for companies that manufacture power protection components. As AI servers become more powerful and energy-intensive, demand is rising for transient voltage suppressors, commonly known as TVS devices, along with electrostatic discharge protection components and other power-related semiconductor products.

Yea Shin Technology, a subsidiary of Eris Technology, is positioning itself to benefit from this expanding market. The company is set to begin trading on Taiwan’s emerging stock market on October 23, marking an important step in its growth strategy as demand from AI server applications continues to accelerate.

AI servers require highly reliable electrical protection due to their dense circuit designs, high-speed data processing, and heavy power loads. TVS components play a key role in protecting sensitive circuits from sudden voltage spikes, while ESD protection devices help prevent damage caused by static electricity. As data centers scale up to support generative AI, cloud computing, and machine learning workloads, these protection components are becoming increasingly important.

Yea Shin’s TVS products have entered the international AI server supply chain, highlighting the company’s growing relevance in this fast-expanding sector. To meet stronger demand, the company plans to increase the share of 6-inch wafers in its total production capacity from 35% to more than 50%.

This shift toward a higher proportion of 6-inch wafer production is expected to improve manufacturing efficiency and support larger-volume orders from global customers. It also reflects the broader industry trend of expanding capacity for components used in AI servers, power management, and high-performance computing equipment.

The AI server market is expected to remain a major growth driver for semiconductor suppliers, particularly those focused on power protection and circuit reliability. As server systems become more complex, the need for stable, durable, and high-performance components will continue to rise.

For Yea Shin Technology, its upcoming market debut and capacity expansion come at a strategic time. With AI infrastructure investment increasing worldwide, the company is strengthening its position in the supply chain for TVS protection devices, ESD components, and power semiconductors used in next-generation computing systems.
