Acer Aspire 18 Launches with Intel Core Ultra Options, 120Hz Display, and Up to 17.5 Hours of Battery Life
Acer has expanded its laptop lineup with the new Aspire 18, a large-screen notebook aimed at users who want more workspace without jumping to a full desktop setup. The 18-inch laptop has started appearing for sale in parts of Europe and the UAE, giving buyers a new option for productivity, entertainment, studying, and everyday multitasking.
In the Eurozone, the Acer Aspire 18 starts at €1,289, which is roughly $1,468. The entry-level model includes an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, and a 71 Wh battery. Acer rates the battery for up to 17.5 hours of web browsing in its official testing, which could make the device appealing for users who need a big-screen laptop that can still last through a long workday.
The display is one of the main highlights. Acer equips the Aspire 18 with an 18-inch IPS panel featuring a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 1200p resolution, 400 nits of peak brightness, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The taller 16:10 format should provide extra vertical space for documents, spreadsheets, browser tabs, and creative work, while the 120 Hz refresh rate should make scrolling and general navigation feel smoother than on standard 60 Hz screens.
For users who need more performance, Acer is also offering configurations with Intel Core Ultra 7 355 and Core Ultra 9 386H processors. A lower-tier Core Ultra 5 322 version is also expected to arrive, giving buyers more flexibility depending on budget and performance needs. Acer’s product information also points to another 1200p IPS display option with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, which may appeal to users who want even smoother visuals.
All Aspire 18 models appear to share the same core design. The laptop measures 400 x 272.4 x 12.4 to 19 mm and weighs 2.19 kg. That makes it relatively portable for an 18-inch machine, though it is still clearly designed for users who prioritize screen size over ultra-light mobility. Every configuration also includes the same 71 Wh battery.
At the top end, the Acer Aspire 18 can be configured with an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor, 32 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of storage. This premium version is priced at €2,299, or around $2,618, making it about 78% more expensive than the base model. Buyers who want the Core Ultra 9 386H but do not need 32 GB of RAM can currently find versions with 16 GB of RAM priced between €1,499 and €1,650, depending on the market and retailer.
