ACEMAGIC F9A Mini Workstation Debuts With AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ Power, Up to 192GB Memory, and Serious Local AI Performance
ACEMAGIC has introduced its new F9A Mini Workstation, a compact high-performance PC built for the growing wave of local AI workloads, AI agents, content creation, and workstation-class computing in small spaces. The system is designed around AMD’s Ryzen AI MAX platform and will be offered with configurations reaching up to the Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495, paired with as much as 192GB of memory.
Mini PCs are no longer just simple office machines. As more users move AI tasks from the cloud to local hardware, demand is rising for compact systems with powerful CPUs, integrated graphics, fast memory, and dedicated AI acceleration. The ACEMAGIC F9A aims to meet that demand by combining a small footprint with hardware capable of running large language models and other AI-focused workloads directly on the device.
The F9A measures 158.5 x 158.5 x 81.5mm, making it small enough for a desk, studio, lab, or edge-computing setup while still packing workstation-level components. Its compact design makes it especially appealing for users who want strong AI performance without building a full-size desktop tower.
At launch, the F9A will be available with the AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395, while a more powerful Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 version is expected to arrive later. The Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 configuration already offers strong performance, with 16 Zen 5 CPU cores, 32 threads, and support for up to 128GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 8000 MT/s.
The higher-end Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 version pushes the platform further. It keeps the same 16-core, 32-thread Zen 5 CPU design but increases the boost clock to 5.2GHz. It also includes Radeon 8065S integrated graphics with 40 RDNA 3.5 compute units running at up to 3000MHz. Memory support rises to 192GB of LPDDR5X at 8533 MT/s, giving users a much larger memory pool for demanding AI models, professional workloads, and graphics tasks.
One of the standout features of the Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 model is its ability to allocate up to 160GB of memory to the integrated GPU. This is a major advantage for local AI processing, where memory capacity can be just as important as raw compute performance. The system also includes an XDNA 2 NPU rated at 55 TOPS, bringing total platform AI performance to up to 131 TOPS.
For users working with local language models, the difference between the two configurations is significant. The Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 model is rated for 70B Q4 models and up to 200B MoE models. The Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 version increases that capability to 120B Q4 models and up to 300B MoE models, making it a stronger option for developers, researchers, AI hobbyists, and professionals who want to run larger models locally.
Connectivity is another strong point of the ACEMAGIC F9A. The mini workstation includes two USB4 ports, dual 2.5G Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, and an OCuLink interface using PCIe 4.0 x4. The OCuLink port is especially useful for users who may want to connect an external graphics solution for additional GPU performance.
For storage, the F9A includes an M.2 2280 SSD slot with support for drives up to 4TB. The platform also supports PCIe 4.0 x16 and NVMe RAID 0 or RAID 1, giving users flexibility for speed-focused or redundancy-focused storage setups.
The ACEMAGIC F9A-395 and F9A-PRO495 share many core features, including the Zen 5 architecture, 16 cores, 32 threads, 16MB L2 cache, 64MB L3 cache, PCIe 4.0 support, and XDNA 2 NPU architecture. The PRO 495 model improves several key areas, including CPU frequency, memory capacity, memory speed, maximum VRAM allocation, GPU frequency, NPU performance, and local AI model support.
The Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 version features a 3.0GHz base clock and up to 5.1GHz boost clock, while the Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 increases those figures to a 3.1GHz base clock and up to 5.2GHz boost clock. The memory upgrade from 128GB to 192GB is one of the biggest improvements, along with the increase in maximum graphics memory allocation from 96GB to 160GB.
Graphics also receive a boost. The Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 model uses Radeon 8060S graphics, while the Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 uses Radeon 8065S graphics. Both are based on RDNA 3.5 with 40 compute units, but the PRO 495 version runs at a higher 3000MHz frequency compared to 2900MHz on the 395 model.
ACEMAGIC has not officially announced pricing for the F9A series. Based on similar compact workstation platforms, the Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 model is expected to land somewhere around the $2,999 to $3,999 range. The Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 configuration is expected to cost significantly more, likely exceeding $5,000 due to its expanded memory support and stronger AI capabilities.
The ACEMAGIC F9A Mini Workstation will first launch with the Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 configuration on September 10, with pre-orders opening the same day. The Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 version is expected to follow later as the premium option for users who need maximum local AI performance in a compact form factor.
With its mix of AMD Ryzen AI MAX processing, large memory capacity, powerful integrated Radeon graphics, modern connectivity, and support for large local AI models, the ACEMAGIC F9A is shaping up to be one of the more ambitious mini workstations aimed at the AI PC market. For users looking for a small but capable system for AI development, local LLMs, creative work, multitasking, and edge computing, the F9A could be a compelling option.
