A recent leak has sparked excitement about Honor’s upcoming device, the Magic V Flip 2, positioning it as a potential game-changer in the foldable smartphone arena. Set to challenge the likes of Xiaomi, Motorola, and Samsung, this device is rumored to boast a significantly larger battery capacity than its competitors, including the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2, Motorola Razr Ultra 2025, and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7.
2025 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for mid-range clamshell foldables, with major releases from giants like Samsung and Motorola. However, the Magic V Flip 2 could outshine them all by pushing boundaries with a 5,500mAh battery—a first for its class. Honor is also considering equipping this model with 80W charging, promising unprecedented speed that might even eclipse some flagship devices.
Despite these impressive features, the Magic V Flip 2, codenamed “celine,” may feature the sub-flagship Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. This could mean a more attractive price point, potentially aligning with the $599.99 MediaTek-powered Razr or the $899.99 Exynos-based Z Flip7 FE.
As the tech community eagerly awaits more details, speculation is rife, and Honor is expected to unveil the Magic V Flip 2 by the end of August 2025.
