Xiaomi’s New 140W Desktop Charging Station Is Coming Soon

Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new desktop accessory in China designed to cut down cable clutter and make charging multiple devices far easier. The Xiaomi Desktop Charging Station 140W is set to arrive through a crowdfunding campaign, and it combines high-power USB charging with built-in AC outlets in a compact, desk-friendly design.

Built as an all-in-one hub, the Desktop Charging Station 140W offers eight total outputs. On the front, you’ll find four USB ports: two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports. The two USB-C ports are the stars of the show, with each capable of delivering up to 140W, making the station suitable for charging power-hungry devices like laptops and tablets when using compatible cables and devices. Alongside them are two USB-A ports, with one providing up to 120W for fast charging supported devices, while the other is limited to 5W and intended for low-current needs such as earbuds, headphones, or a smartwatch.

When multiple devices are connected at the same time, the station intelligently splits power across the ports. Xiaomi highlights example configurations such as 65W + 45W + 22.5W + 5W or 90W + 20W + 22.5W + 5W across USB-C1, USB-C2, USB-A1, and USB-A2. This kind of flexible power sharing is especially useful for a desk setup where a laptop, phone, and smaller accessories may all need charging simultaneously.

USB charging isn’t the only focus. On the top and rear of the unit, Xiaomi includes four AC outlets: two two-pin sockets and two five-pin sockets. Together, these AC outlets support up to 2,500W total output, turning the device into a compact desktop power solution for plugging in additional electronics.

The charging station also supports several popular fast-charging standards, including PD3.1, QC4+, and PPS, helping it work with a wide range of phones, tablets, laptops, and other USB-powered gear.

In terms of size, Xiaomi’s Desktop Charging Station measures 95 x 71 x 53 mm and weighs 493 g, giving it a solid footprint that should stay put on a desk while still being compact enough for tidy cable management.

The Xiaomi Desktop Charging Station 140W will be crowdfunded in China on Xiaomi’s YouPin platform. Backers will be able to pledge CNY 249 (around $36), while the expected future retail price is CNY 299 (around $43). For now, Xiaomi has not confirmed whether the accessory will launch in other markets, including Europe.
