Xiaomi has opened pre-orders for its new S Mini LED TV 2026 series in China, and this lineup is notably different from the versions introduced in Europe. The key takeaway is simple: the China-only S Mini LED TV range is more feature-packed, with higher peak brightness, more local dimming zones, and a faster refresh rate aimed at smoother gaming and sports viewing.
The 2026 S Mini LED TV lineup for China comes in five screen sizes, starting at 55 inches and scaling all the way up to a massive 100-inch model. Xiaomi is clearly targeting buyers who want a big-screen home theater experience without giving up the specs that matter for HDR and fast motion.
At the top of the range, the 100-inch S Mini LED TV includes 1,920 local dimming zones and is rated for up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. That combination is designed to deliver stronger HDR impact, with brighter highlights and better control over dark scenes. Xiaomi is also advertising a refresh rate that can reach up to 288Hz, a spec that will appeal to competitive gamers and anyone sensitive to motion blur.
Even the entry-level version is positioned for performance. While it drops to 576 dimming zones compared to the flagship, it still keeps the same general focus on high-end viewing features, making the overall series feel more premium than a typical “good, better, best” TV refresh.
Compared with the European S Mini LED TV lineup, the differences are significant. The EU range tops out at 98 inches, reaches 1,200 nits peak brightness, and offers up to 880 dimming zones. In other words, buyers looking for the brightest HDR presentation and the most precise backlight control will find the Chinese 2026 lineup more ambitious on paper.
Xiaomi is also emphasizing screen reflection control in the Chinese models. The company mentions a “0.5% low-reflection film,” which is intended to reduce glare and improve contrast in rooms with difficult lighting, such as daytime viewing with windows nearby or bright overhead lights.
Audio is another area Xiaomi is pushing with this release. The TVs include a 2.1-channel speaker system and support Harman AudioEFX, suggesting an upgraded built-in sound experience with clearer dialogue and more impactful bass than basic TV speakers.
For gaming, Xiaomi continues to include a dedicated Game Mode, with support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VRR (variable refresh rate). These features are designed to reduce screen tearing and stutter while keeping gameplay responsive—especially useful for fast-paced console and PC gaming.
The S Mini LED TV 2026 series also features Xiaomi’s Master Quality Engine, which the company says improves contrast, sharpness, and color accuracy. In everyday use, this kind of processing typically targets cleaner upscaling, better shadow detail, and more natural color tuning across different types of content.
Pricing hasn’t been shared yet, but Xiaomi is expected to announce full price details on April 8, 2026, when the pre-order period ends in China. One important note for international shoppers: this exact configuration and spec set is not expected to launch officially outside China. Those who want a Xiaomi Mini LED TV through official channels in other regions will likely be looking at the European lineup instead, which is already being sold with promotional discounts in some markets.
