Xiaomi has introduced a new budget-friendly gaming monitor in China, expanding its Redmi G27 lineup with the Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition. The latest model is designed for gamers who want a sharp 2K display, a high refresh rate, and useful gaming features without paying a premium price.
The Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition comes with a 27-inch IPS panel featuring a 2560 x 1440 resolution, commonly known as 2K or QHD. This resolution offers a clear upgrade over Full HD, making games look sharper while still being easier to drive than 4K for many gaming PCs.
One of the biggest highlights is its 240 Hz refresh rate. While Xiaomi’s higher-end Redmi G27Q 2026 model offers a faster 320 Hz panel, the Standard Edition still delivers extremely smooth motion for competitive gaming. A 240 Hz display can make fast-paced titles feel more responsive, especially in shooters, racing games, and esports titles where quick reactions matter.
The monitor also offers a 1 ms GTG response time, helping reduce motion blur during intense gameplay. With a 178-degree viewing angle, the IPS panel should maintain consistent colors and image quality even when viewed from the side.
For brightness, the Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition reaches up to 500 nits, which is strong for a monitor in this price range. Color performance is also a key focus, with Xiaomi claiming 100% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The monitor supports 8-bit color depth, making it suitable not only for gaming but also for everyday entertainment, streaming, and casual creative work.
Another major upgrade is AMD FreeSync Premium support. This feature is designed to reduce screen tearing, stuttering, and input lag when paired with compatible hardware. For gamers, this can result in smoother gameplay and a more fluid visual experience, especially when frame rates fluctuate.
Xiaomi has also included eye-comfort features for longer gaming sessions. The monitor comes with Xiaomi’s Green Mountain Eye Protection technology and TÜV Rheinland blue light certification. These features aim to reduce eye strain, making the display more comfortable to use during extended play, work, or study sessions.
The Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition includes several gaming-focused tools as well. There is a dynamic crosshair feature with five different modes and color adjustment options, allowing players to customize on-screen aiming assistance. A night vision mode is also included, along with Darkfield Enhancement Pro, which helps brighten darker areas in games. This can make it easier to spot enemies or details in shadow-heavy scenes.
In terms of connectivity, the monitor is equipped with two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a headphone jack. This gives users enough flexibility to connect a gaming PC, console, or other devices without constantly swapping cables.
The design remains similar to the previous generation, keeping a clean and practical gaming monitor look. It also supports ergonomic adjustments, including height adjustment, pivot, swivel, and tilt. For users who prefer a cleaner desk setup, the monitor supports VESA wall mounting.
The Xiaomi Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition is priced at CNY 999, which is approximately $149. That makes it notably cheaper than the regular Redmi G27Q 2026, which is priced at CNY 1,299, or around $189. Sales in China are set to begin on October 21 through major retail channels.
For now, Xiaomi has not confirmed whether the Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition will launch globally. If it does reach more markets, it could become an attractive option for gamers looking for a 27-inch 2K 240 Hz gaming monitor at an affordable price.
