Xiaomi Unveils All-in-One RO Purifier With Ice Maker and Instant Hot Water

Xiaomi just unveiled a countertop multitasker that filters, heats, and even freezes your water. The Mijia Desktop Water Purifier Ice-Making Edition combines reverse osmosis filtration, an instant hot water dispenser, and a built-in ice maker in one sleek unit designed for modern kitchens.

What stands out is its flexibility. You can dial in hot water anywhere from 40 to 95°C, adjustable in precise 1-degree increments. With a powerful 2,100-watt heating element, near-boiling water is ready in about three seconds—great for coffee, tea, baby formula, and quick meals. Unlike under-sink systems, this model doesn’t require a permanent water line. It runs on refillable tanks, making placement much easier in apartments, offices, and dorms.

The cooling side is just as compelling. The purifier can drop water below freezing to produce ice, delivering five 6-gram cubes in roughly 10 minutes, or standard 10-gram cubes in about 15 minutes. A quiet compressor rated up to 35 dB keeps noise down, and the onboard bin can store around 40 to 50 cubes. There’s also UV treatment for the ice compartment, an extra safeguard where hygiene matters most.

For filtration, the system employs a six-stage setup that combines reverse osmosis with activated carbon to reduce a broad range of contaminants and improve taste. That means crisp-tasting water whether you’re pouring it cold, heating it for a drink, or freezing it into ice.
