Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Confirmed With 7-Inch OLED Display and 8,000mAh Battery
Xiaomi is preparing to introduce the Redmi Note 17 series in China on July 14, and the brand has started revealing key details ahead of the official launch. After confirming major specifications for the Redmi Note 17 Pro, Xiaomi has now shared new information about the standard Redmi Note 17, and it looks like the phone will bring a major upgrade in both display and battery life.
The Redmi Note 17 is officially confirmed to feature a large 7-inch OLED display. This makes it noticeably bigger than the previous Redmi Note 15 5G, which came with a 6.77-inch screen. The new panel will support a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling, better animations, and a more fluid experience while gaming or browsing.
Xiaomi has also confirmed that the display can reach up to 1,200 nits of global brightness. That should make the screen easier to view outdoors and in bright environments. The phone will also include Xiaomi’s eye protection technology, which is designed to reduce eye strain during long viewing sessions.
Battery life appears to be one of the biggest highlights of the Redmi Note 17. The device will pack a massive 8,000mAh battery, a significant jump from the 5,800mAh unit found in the Redmi Note 15. The processor and remaining specifications have not been officially announced. However, a recent benchmark listing suggests that the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 17 could be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset.
