Wuben X5 Packs White Light, UV, and Laser Into a Slim USB-C Flashlight with Dual Battery Options

Wuben X5 launches as a flat 3-in-1 EDC flashlight with USB-C charging, UV light, and laser

Wuben has introduced the X5, a new everyday carry flashlight designed for users who want a compact, rugged, and versatile lighting tool without sacrificing practical features. The X5 follows the growing trend of slim, flat-style EDC flashlights, but it stands out by offering a replaceable battery system, USB-C charging, white light, UV light, and a laser pointer in one portable device.

One of the biggest advantages of the Wuben X5 is its flexible power setup. The flashlight includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can be charged through a USB-C port on the side of the body. The port appears to be protected by a sliding cover, helping shield it from dust and splashes during outdoor use.

If charging is not available, the X5 can also run on four standard AAA batteries. This makes it especially useful for emergencies, camping trips, travel, roadside situations, and power outages. With AAA batteries installed, the maximum brightness drops to 850 lumens, while the rechargeable lithium-ion battery allows the flashlight to reach up to 1,250 lumens.

The white LED produces a neutral 5,000K beam, making it suitable for general use without appearing overly warm or harshly cool. At full turbo output, the X5 can deliver 1,250 lumens for one minute before stepping down to 400 lumens. At that reduced level, it can continue operating for around 1.5 hours.

For longer use, the flashlight offers several lower brightness modes. At 350 lumens, it can run continuously for about 2 hours. Dropping to 150 lumens extends runtime to around 5 hours, while the 50-lumen setting lasts up to 15 hours. There is also a moonlight mode rated at just 1 lumen, which can provide up to 200 hours of runtime for low-light tasks such as reading maps, checking gear at night, or preserving night vision.

Beyond its main white light, the Wuben X5 includes a UV light with a runtime of around 2 hours. This can be useful for checking documents, detecting stains, inspecting certain materials, or other specialized tasks. The flashlight also includes a green laser. In its Class 1 version, the laser can run for up to 50 hours. In some regions, the X5 is offered with a Class 3R laser, which provides up to 24 hours of runtime.

Wuben has equipped the X5 with a rotary switch that lets users select between different lighting modes and lock the flashlight to prevent accidental activation. The laser is controlled separately through its own dedicated button, making it quicker to access when needed.

The X5 measures roughly 14 cm in length and weighs about 130 grams. Its aluminum housing is built for durability, and the flashlight carries an IP65 rating, meaning it is protected against dust and low-pressure water jets. A two-way clip adds more carrying flexibility, allowing users to attach it to a pocket, bag, belt, or gear strap.

With its flat body, multiple lighting options, rechargeable battery, AAA battery backup, and rugged construction, the Wuben X5 is positioned as a practical EDC flashlight for outdoor enthusiasts, technicians, travelers, and anyone who wants a dependable compact light for daily use.

The Wuben X5 is now shipping, with pricing listed at around 80 USD.
