Wuben G6 Ultra-Slim Keychain Flashlight Teased With 500-Lumen Output, USB-C Charging, and Built-In Utility Blade
Wuben is preparing to introduce a new ultra-slim keychain flashlight called the G6, a compact everyday carry light designed for users who want bright illumination without adding bulk to their pocket, bag, or keyring. The upcoming Wuben G6 is scheduled to debut through a Kickstarter campaign on October 22.
Although crowdfunding campaigns always carry some level of risk, Wuben is already known in the flashlight and EDC accessory market. In this case, the campaign appears to serve not only as a launch platform but also as a way to measure demand before full-scale production begins.
The standout feature of the Wuben G6 is its extremely slim profile. Measuring 65.8 x 34.2 x 8.6 mm, the flashlight is less than 9 mm thick, making it easy to attach to a keychain or slip into a small pocket. It weighs just 1.41 oz, so it should be light enough for daily carry without feeling noticeable.
Despite its compact size, the G6 is expected to offer three different light sources. The main LED is rated at up to 500 lumens, which should be bright enough for common tasks such as walking at night, checking under furniture, working in tight spaces, or handling emergency situations. A secondary side light provides up to 100 lumens, offering a softer and more practical beam for close-range use. The third light is a red signal light, listed at 1 lumen in some early details, though there has been some conflicting information suggesting it may be 10 lumens. Final specifications may be clarified when the campaign officially launches.
The G6 is built with a 7075 aluminum body, a material known for being strong, durable, and lightweight. This should help the flashlight withstand the wear and tear of everyday carry, especially for users who keep their flashlight on a keyring with other metal tools and accessories.
Another useful addition is a small retractable utility blade. With a blade length of 36.4 mm, it is intended for light cutting tasks such as opening packages, cutting tape, or handling small everyday jobs. This gives the G6 more versatility than a standard keychain flashlight and makes it closer to a compact multi-tool for daily use.
Power comes from a 400 mAh battery, and Wuben claims the G6 can run for up to 76 hours depending on the lighting mode used. As expected, the maximum runtime will likely apply to the lowest-output mode rather than the 500-lumen main beam. More detailed runtime figures for each brightness level are expected to be revealed during the official launch.
For charging, the Wuben G6 includes a USB Type-C port, making it convenient to recharge with common modern cables. This is a welcome feature for users who prefer rechargeable EDC flashlights over models that require disposable batteries.
Pricing has not yet been announced, and full availability details are still pending. More information, including final specifications, runtime breakdowns, campaign rewards, and shipping estimates, should be revealed when the Kickstarter campaign goes live on October 22.
With its slim design, 500-lumen main light, multiple illumination modes, USB-C charging, aluminum construction, and built-in utility blade, the Wuben G6 could become an appealing option for anyone looking for a compact keychain flashlight for everyday carry, travel, work, or emergency preparedness.
