Wildkeepers Rising

Wildkeepers Rising Goes Gold: Full Launch Arrives This Month

Wildkeepers Rising locks in its full release date, stepping out of Early Access on October 23 for PC via Steam, with console versions arriving in the weeks that follow on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5. Developed by indie studio Lioncode Games, this fantasy bullet-heaven roguelite blends creature collecting, tactical movement, and deep team-building to create a fast, satisfying loop with plenty of long-term strategy.

After seven months in Early Access and a “Mostly Positive” reception from players, the 1.0 launch delivers a complete experience shaped by community feedback. Expect new Guardians to tame, fresh environments that change how you play, and a smarter progression system that rewards planning between runs. The studio says its goal was to push the genre forward by making creatures the heart of the action—each Guardian brings unique abilities, and the fun comes from crafting synergistic squads rather than just stacking random power-ups.

Attacks fire automatically, so the skill ceiling lives in mastering movement, positioning, and timing your specials. Every run becomes a sandbox for testing builds and discovering synergies as you assemble a four-creature team. With near-limitless combinations, the game encourages experimentation and rewards clever strategies across varied maps with real topography instead of flat, open fields.

What’s new in the 1.0 release:
– New Wildkeepers: Milo and Ivy
– New Fire & Ice environment featuring five additional Guardians, new enemies, and new bosses
– Gear system for meaningful meta-progression between runs
– Updated accessibility options
– Performance optimizations and a wave of bug fixes

Gameplay at a glance:
– Bullet heaven action: Carve through thousands of foes by chaining synergies between tameable Guardians
– Creature collector: Discover, tame, train, and unleash magical beasts with devastating special attacks
– Strategic maps: Navigate handcrafted arenas with elevation and obstacles that influence your tactics
– Roguelite progression: Unlock upgrades in your village to power up future attempts
– Endless mode: Face ever-stronger waves with no level cap and extra sigil slots for hardcore builds
– RPG elements: Explore a fantasy world of heroes and monsters wrapped in a tale of vengeance
– Hand-drawn art: A vibrant style inspired by Akira Toriyama, Jim Henson, and Hayao Miyazaki

A new trailer showcases the expanded roster, the Fire & Ice biome, and the faster, smoother combat arriving with the full release. Whether you’re chasing a perfect run or theorycrafting the ultimate four-Guardian squad, Wildkeepers Rising aims to be both immediately satisfying for newcomers and strategically deep for genre veterans.
