The issue appears to affect battery runtime on some Garmin smartwatches, raising concerns among users who rely on the Fenix 8 series for long-lasting performance during workouts, travel, and daily wear.
Battery life has always been one of Garmin’s biggest strengths, especially compared with smartwatches such as the Apple Watch. Many users choose Garmin devices specifically because they can last for days or even weeks on a single charge, depending on the model and settings. That makes sudden battery drain especially frustrating when it appears after a firmware update.
