Wangyu Esports Supercharges Its Cafes With More Ryzen X3D CPUs to Hit 1,000 FPS

China’s powerhouse esports cafe brand is doubling down on high-performance hardware. Wangyu Esports, one of the country’s oldest and largest internet cafe chains, has announced a strategic partnership with AMD to roll out more Ryzen X3D processors across its gaming centers, aiming to deliver ultra-high frame rates in competitive titles.

Wangyu’s scale makes the move especially notable. Originally known as Wangyu Internet Cafe, the company rebranded to Wangyu Esports in 2021 and now operates in more than 80 cities across China and select locations overseas. With over 30 million members and roughly 56 million annual visits, any hardware upgrade at this scale has the potential to influence how and where gamers choose to play.

The partnership was unveiled at a joint summit held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, where both companies outlined plans to equip Wangyu locations with Ryzen X3D processors. AMD has promoted its latest Ryzen 9000X3D series as capable of reaching up to 1000 FPS in select esports titles under specific conditions, citing games such as Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, League of Legends, and PUBG. While those figures depend on variables like settings, resolution, and the overall system configuration, there’s no question that Ryzen X3D chips with 3D V-Cache are designed to push exceptional gaming performance and reduce latency in CPU-bound scenarios common to esports.

It’s also worth unpacking the 1000 FPS headline. Hitting a four-digit frame rate is technically possible in certain situations, but it’s not guaranteed across all maps, modes, or hardware pairings. And because consumer displays haven’t reached 1000 Hz yet, you won’t see every single frame. Even so, pushing higher frame rates can still improve the experience on today’s 360–540 Hz monitors by cutting input lag and smoothing out frame pacing—advantages that matter in clutch moments.

For players visiting Wangyu locations, the practical benefits should include snappier responsiveness, more consistent frame times in chaotic team fights, and better performance headroom for competitive settings. Expect these CPU upgrades to pair well with high-refresh monitors, fast memory, and tuned network setups—key ingredients for top-tier esports play. Rollouts typically start with flagship venues before expanding system-wide, so availability may vary by city in the near term.

Esports is steadily marching toward higher refresh-rate gaming, and cafes that invest early in CPU and display tech are positioned to set the standard for competitive play. By bringing more Ryzen X3D systems into its lineup, Wangyu Esports is signaling a clear focus: deliver the smoothest, lowest-latency experience possible today while preparing for the even faster displays of tomorrow.
