Volvy’s Adventure: Reslimed Brings Chaotic Mascot Platforming to PC This November
Devolver Digital and developer doinksoft have officially announced Volvy’s Adventure: Reslimed, a wildly colorful action-platformer headed to Windows PC via Steam on November 19.
Described as a “remaster of the original remake of the unreleased action-platformer,” Volvy’s Adventure: Reslimed brings back the bizarre, over-the-top energy of a fictional video game mascot with a giant hand, a love for onions, and a serious grudge against slime-spewing warlocks.
The game sends players across four revamped worlds packed with mischievous enemies, dangerous obstacles, hidden paths, and intense boss battles. As Volvy, players will collect delicious onions to stay at peak power while using his oversized hand to pull off a variety of platforming moves. That massive appendage is not just for show, either. Volvy can use it to hover across large gaps, grind along rails, smash through enemies, burrow underground, and uncover secret routes.
When things get too dangerous, Volvy can power up by eating onions and transforming into Swolvy, a muscle-bound version of himself capable of smashing through trouble with even more force.
As for the story, it keeps things simple and strange. A group of warlocks has unleashed a wave of slime, kidnapped Volvy’s friends, and caused enough chaos to demand a heroic response. Naturally, Volvy sets out to stop them using platforming skills, brute strength, and a truly enormous hand.
Volvy’s Adventure: Reslimed also features fully redrawn and recolored pixel art, giving the game a fresh visual style while preserving its retro-inspired charm. The revamped version includes redesigned worlds, updated animations, and a more polished presentation throughout.
Players can also expect reworked minigames between stages, adding extra variety to the adventure. According to the announcement, these minigames have been redesigned and no longer include the questionable health-related gags from past versions.
With its strange humor, fast-paced platforming, colorful worlds, and absurd mascot energy, Volvy’s Adventure: Reslimed looks set to deliver a playful and chaotic PC platforming experience when it launches on November 19.
