Vivo Y300i Launches Featuring Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Processor and Massive 6,500 mAh Battery

Vivo has introduced its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Vivo Y300i, stepping into the spotlight in China. Sliding into the shoes of last year’s Y200i, the Y300i doesn’t come with groundbreaking changes but gently evolves the series with its solid performance features.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y300i houses a robust Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, teamed up with an impressive 12 GB of RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking. Storage options include 256 GB and 512 GB of UFS 2.2, giving users plenty of room for their apps and media, though, unfortunately, no further expansion is possible. Operating on the latest Android 15-based Origin OS 5, it promises a fresh user experience, although details on future software updates are still under wraps.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the phone’s 50 MP single rear camera, complemented by a 5 MP front shooter perfect for selfies and video chats. Display-wise, the Y300i boasts a sizeable 6.68-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1608 x 720 pixels, offering crisp visuals supported by a silky 120 Hz refresh rate and packing a screen-to-body ratio of 90.34%.

In terms of size, the Vivo Y300i comes in at 165.7 x 76.3 x 8.19 mm and weighs a comfortable 205 grams. It draws power from a hefty 6,500 mAh battery, capable of 44 W fast charging. Additional perks include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick access, stereo speakers for immersive sound, an option for RAM expansion, and NFC support for wireless payments and connectivity.

Color enthusiasts have the choice of rime blue, titanium, and black jade. Pricing for this feature-packed device begins at CNY 1,499 (approximately $207) for the basic 8 GB + 256 GB model. For those seeking more power, the 12 GB + 256 GB version is priced at CNY 1,599 (~$221), while the top-tier 12 GB + 512 GB model stands at CNY 1,799 (~$248).

As it opens for pre-orders on Vivo’s official platform, the Vivo Y300i promises to hit the shelves on March 14th, potentially captivating those in the market for a cost-effective yet capable smartphone.
