The Vivo Y300 Pro has finally been unveiled, and it’s making waves as one of the sleekest mid-range Android phones, all while packing a powerhouse battery. At just 7.69 mm thick, this smartphone impressively houses a hefty 6,500 mAh battery, surpassing the battery capacity of many competitors, yet maintaining a slimmer profile.
This launch is a significant leap from its predecessor, the Y200 Pro, which only featured a 5,000 mAh battery. The Y300 Pro also introduces support for rapid 80W fast charging, ensuring you spend less time tethered to a charger. But the improvements don’t stop at the battery.
Aesthetically, the Vivo Y300 Pro shines with a premium design reminiscent of the flagship Vivo X100 series. It’s worth noting that while its camera setup isn’t quite flagship-level, it’s impressive for a mid-range device. On the back, you’ll find a dual-camera configuration anchored by a 50 MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 1/1.95-inch sensor size. Complementing the primary sensor is a 2 MP depth sensor, perfect for those portrait shots. Up front, there’s a substantial upgrade with a 32 MP selfie camera, poised to take high-quality self-portraits.
Under the hood, the Y300 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. The display doesn’t disappoint either, featuring a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a vibrant 10-bit color depth. The screen can reach up to an astonishing 5,000 nits of peak brightness, making it easy to view even under bright sunlight.
The phone is also built to endure with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. It runs on the latest Android 14 and supports reverse wired charging, adding to its versatile feature set.
As for pricing, the Vivo Y300 Pro starts at approximately $250 for the model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The top-tier version, boasting 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, is priced around $350. While details on global availability are yet to be announced, it’s anticipated that, like the Y200 Pro, this model will eventually make its way to international markets.
