Vivo X300s Set to Outshine X300 and X300 Pro With Next-Gen Battery Upgrade

Vivo is getting ready to unveil its next wave of premium smartphones, and one model is already shaping up to be a standout for power users: the Vivo X300s. Vivo has confirmed that this upcoming device will beat the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro in one of the most important areas buyers care about most—battery capacity straight out of the box.

In the days leading up to the launch, there was some confusion about where this phone would fit in the lineup. Early talk suggested Vivo was preparing an “X300 Max” as a more affordable companion to the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra. Vivo has since cleared that up, confirming the device is actually called the Vivo X300s, positioned to complement the X300 Ultra rather than replace anything.

What makes the X300s especially interesting is that it doesn’t look like a watered-down option. It’s expected to deliver a premium viewing experience thanks to a 6.78-inch AMOLED display supplied by BOE, paired with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. That’s a notable step up for people who prioritize fluid scrolling, fast animations, and responsive gaming.

Vivo is also adding features aimed at daily convenience and durability. The Vivo X300s will include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner designed to recognize fingerprints even when your hands are wet—an advantage over many standard optical in-display sensors that can struggle in real-world conditions.

Connectivity and data transfer are getting an upgrade too. Vivo has confirmed the X300s will feature a USB Type-C port supporting USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds, which is a significant improvement compared to earlier models that relied on slower USB 2.0. For anyone who regularly moves large files, records high-resolution video, or simply wants faster wired transfers, this is a meaningful quality-of-life boost.

The headline feature, however, is the battery. Vivo is equipping the X300s with a massive 7,100mAh battery, along with bypass charging support. This setup is particularly appealing for gamers and heavy users, since bypass charging can reduce heat during extended use while plugged in. Vivo also notes this battery is 14.5% larger than the one found in the X200s, and it’s large enough to put the X300s ahead of both the X300 and X300 Pro in China by a wide margin.

Beyond battery and performance-focused enhancements, the Vivo X300s is also expected to include wireless charging and a triple rear camera system, rounding it out as a true high-end phone rather than a compromised alternative.

For now, Vivo hasn’t shared an official release date for the Vivo X300s or the Vivo X300 Ultra. Still, with key specs now confirmed—especially that oversized 7,100mAh battery, 144Hz AMOLED display, ultrasonic fingerprint scanning, and USB 3.2 support—the X300s is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated Vivo phones for anyone who wants flagship-level features with a strong focus on battery life.
