A new round of official teasers is putting the spotlight on Vivo’s next ultra-premium camera phone, the Vivo X300 Ultra. While Vivo still hasn’t confirmed many key details—such as full specs or even an exact release date—the company’s recent messaging makes one thing clear: this device is being positioned as a serious flagship rival, and it may not arrive alone.
According to the latest hints, the Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to launch alongside a second model called the Vivo X300s at the same event. If that plays out, Vivo would be setting up a head-to-head premium showdown in the same space as other top-tier “Ultra” phones expected later this year.
Where the most concrete information is coming through is the camera system—and Vivo appears determined to build hype around zoom photography. A Vivo executive, Han Bo Xiao, has been sharing sample images on Weibo to demonstrate what the X300 Ultra can do. In recent posts, he highlighted photos taken using the phone’s 35 mm main camera, a 200 mm teleconverter, and a newly introduced 400 mm teleconverter.
The biggest claim, though, is about extreme “equivalent” reach. Han Bo Xiao says the new 400 mm teleconverter can still produce high-quality images at a 1,600 mm equivalent focal length—an attention-grabbing number for anyone interested in long-range smartphone photography, whether it’s concerts, sports, travel, or wildlife-style shots.
So far, Vivo has only shown examples reaching up to an 800 mm equivalent focal length. In those images, fine detail appears well-preserved and colors look natural and pleasing. That said, as with most promotional camera samples, it’s worth keeping expectations measured until independent testing confirms how much of the result is optics, processing, or post-editing.
For now, the Vivo X300 Ultra remains partly a mystery—but if these early zoom demonstrations are even close to what the final retail device can consistently deliver, it could become one of the most talked-about camera phones of the year once full details and real-world reviews arrive.
