Vivo X300 FE Surfaces on Geekbench, Hinting at a Powerful Snapdragon 8-Series Upgrade

Vivo’s upcoming compact flagship contender, the Vivo X300 FE, is starting to reveal itself ahead of an official launch. After previously appearing in the IMEI database under the model number V2537, the device has now shown up on Geekbench, giving an early look at its core performance hardware, memory, and software.

The Geekbench listing indicates the Vivo X300 FE will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, paired with 12GB of RAM. That combination places it firmly in high-end flagship territory, aimed at users who want fast daily performance, strong gaming capabilities, and long-term speed for demanding apps. In benchmark results, the phone posted a single-core score of 2,701 and a multi-core score of 8,180, suggesting a powerful upgrade path for buyers considering a smaller “FE” style flagship without major compromises.

Another key detail from the benchmark is software: the Vivo X300 FE is listed as running Android 16. While benchmark software details can sometimes reflect pre-release builds, it still signals that Vivo is preparing the device with the latest Android generation in mind, which typically means better optimization, newer security features, and improved system-level AI and privacy enhancements.

Although Vivo hasn’t announced a release date or launch regions yet, the growing trail of certifications suggests a broad international rollout. The X300 FE has been approved by multiple regulatory authorities, including India’s BIS, Europe’s EEC, and Singapore’s IMDA. When a phone clears certifications across several major markets, it’s often a strong sign that a global release is being prepared rather than a limited regional launch.

There’s also an interesting clue about what the X300 FE could be based on. Vivo has used a “rebrand” strategy before: the Vivo X200 Pro Mini was essentially a rebranded Vivo S30 Pro Mini. If the company follows the same playbook again, the Vivo X300 FE may be closely related to the Vivo S50 Pro Mini, a model that debuted in China.

If that connection is accurate, the expected Vivo X300 FE specifications could look very compelling for fans of smaller premium phones. The Vivo S50 Pro Mini’s highlights include a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1216 x 2640 resolution, a triple rear camera system (50MP main camera, 50MP periscope telephoto, and 8MP ultrawide), and a large 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging. It also features an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance—features that typically appear on more expensive flagship devices.

Pricing for the China-market S50 Pro Mini started at CNY 3,699 (about $535) for the base variant. While global pricing and configurations for the Vivo X300 FE could differ, that reference point suggests Vivo may be targeting an aggressive value-to-performance balance if it positions the X300 FE similarly in international markets.

For now, the Geekbench appearance confirms the essentials: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 12GB RAM, and Android 16. With multiple certifications already in place, the Vivo X300 FE looks increasingly close to an official reveal—and if it inherits the compact flagship formula and camera-and-battery strengths seen in its potential China counterpart, it could become one of the more talked-about small high-performance Android phones of the year.
