Vivo iQOO 15T Launching Soon With 200MP Camera, 8,000mAh Battery, and 100W Fast Charging
Vivo is preparing to introduce the iQOO 15T, a new performance-focused smartphone that appears ready to deliver premium features at a more competitive price. The device is scheduled to launch on Wednesday, May 20, and the latest official teasers have revealed several major specifications ahead of the event.
One of the biggest highlights of the Vivo iQOO 15T is its 200-megapixel main camera. This high-resolution sensor positions the phone as a serious contender in the flagship smartphone space, especially for users who want detailed photos without necessarily paying ultra-premium prices. The phone’s rear design also appears to be bold and eye-catching, with at least one version featuring a distinctive camera island and a striking finish.
The 200MP main camera is expected to support 4x digital zoom. However, the teaser suggests that the iQOO 15T may not include a dedicated telephoto lens. While a 200MP sensor can crop into images to simulate zoom, image quality at higher zoom levels may not match phones with a true optical telephoto camera. At 4x digital zoom, the phone would likely use only a smaller portion of the sensor, which could reduce detail and overall clarity compared to native optical zoom.
On the positive side, the main camera will include optical image stabilization. This should help improve low-light photography, reduce blur, and make handheld shots more stable. Vivo claims the stabilized lens can allow longer exposure times, which may help the iQOO 15T capture brighter and clearer images in challenging lighting conditions.
Rumors suggest the 200MP main camera will be joined by a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 16MP front-facing selfie camera. If accurate, this setup would give the iQOO 15T a flexible camera system for landscapes, group shots, portraits, and everyday photography.
Battery life could be another major selling point. Vivo has confirmed that the iQOO 15T will pack a massive 8,000mAh battery, which is significantly larger than what is found in many current flagship smartphones. This should make the device especially appealing to gamers, heavy users, travelers, and anyone who wants a phone that can last through long days without constantly reaching for a charger.
Despite the huge battery, charging speeds will also be fast. The iQOO 15T will support up to 100W wired charging through USB-C. Vivo is also promoting a feature called Global Direct Drive Power Supply 2.0, which is designed to manage charging behavior more efficiently when the phone is being used for demanding tasks such as gaming. The goal is to reduce heat buildup while charging and playing at the same time, helping the device stay cooler and more comfortable to hold.
The iQOO 15T is also expected to feature a flagship-grade processor, making it a strong option for mobile gaming, multitasking, and high-performance apps. A 144Hz AMOLED display is also rumored, which would provide smooth scrolling, responsive gameplay, and vibrant visuals with deep contrast.
With a 200MP camera, an 8,000mAh battery, 100W fast charging, and a high-refresh-rate AMOLED screen, the Vivo iQOO 15T is shaping up to be one of the most interesting upcoming Android smartphones in its category. Full specifications, pricing, and availability details are expected to be announced during the official launch on May 20.
