ViewSonic Unleashes a 27-Inch QHD Gaming Monitor Built for Speed With a Blistering 360Hz Refresh Rate

ViewSonic has quietly expanded its high-refresh gaming monitor lineup in China with the new VX27G26-2K-3, a 27-inch QHD display built for competitive play. It’s positioned as a more accessible alternative to the company’s earlier VX27G26-2K-4, trimming the peak refresh rate while keeping the sharp 2560 x 1440 resolution that many gamers prefer over 1080p.

At the center of the VX27G26-2K-3 is a 27-inch Fast IPS panel targeting a 360Hz refresh rate, paired with a claimed 1ms gray-to-gray (GtG) response time. That combination is designed to deliver smoother motion, cleaner tracking, and reduced blur in fast-paced titles like shooters, battle royales, and esports games where split-second reactions matter. The step down from the VX27G26-2K-4’s 425Hz is notable on paper, but 360Hz is still firmly in elite territory for high-FPS gaming monitors.

ViewSonic is also leaning into strong color performance for a speed-focused panel. The monitor is rated for 16.7 million colors and is said to cover 100% of the sRGB color gamut and 98% of DCI-P3. For users who game and also edit clips, create content, or stream, that wide-gamut coverage could make the VX27G26-2K-3 a more versatile choice than typical esports-only displays that prioritize refresh rate at the expense of color.

Design-wise, it sticks closely to the look of the higher-end sibling, featuring slim bezels and a compact stand footprint that should fit comfortably on smaller desks or multi-monitor setups.

Connectivity is straightforward and focused on gaming essentials. The VX27G26-2K-3 includes two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.1 ports, an audio-out jack, and a USB Type-A port. ViewSonic notes that the HDMI inputs can reach up to 320Hz, while the full 360Hz refresh rate is available through DisplayPort, which will matter for players trying to squeeze out every frame their PC can deliver.

Extra gaming-friendly features round out the package, including HDR10 support, compatibility with both FreeSync and G-Sync for smoother tear-free gameplay, and a Night Vision mode intended to improve visibility in darker scenes.

ViewSonic hasn’t shared official pricing or a firm release date yet. For now, the VX27G26-2K-3 has been introduced in China, with expectations that a wider rollout could follow after its local launch.
