A new low-power version of AMD’s budget-friendly RDNA 4 graphics card is taking shape, and one of the most interesting early custom models comes from Vastarmor, a lesser-known but official AMD board partner based in China.
Vastarmor has revealed a Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB LP (low-power) edition with a compact, low-profile design aimed squarely at efficient 1440p (2K) gaming and small form factor PCs. The idea behind the LP model is simple: deliver the same VRAM capacity and core feature set people want from the RX 9060 XT, while trimming power draw and keeping the card easier to cool in tighter cases.
What makes Vastarmor’s version stand out is the physical design. It uses a triple-fan cooler paired with a low-profile heatsink, helping the card stay compact while still prioritizing airflow. The card measures about 172mm in length and uses a dual-slot layout, making it a practical option for space-constrained builds where full-size GPUs can be a headache. Vastarmor’s fans are also notably small for a triple-fan solution, coming in at roughly 55mm each.
On the connectivity side, the card includes three modern display outputs: two DisplayPort 2.1a ports and one HDMI 2.1b port. Power delivery is handled through a single 8-pin connector, just like many standard RX 9060 XT cards.
The big headline change for the LP variant is reduced board power. While the standard RX 9060 XT is typically rated around 160W, this low-power model drops to a 140W TDP. That lower ceiling should help with overall efficiency and thermals, though it also means there’s less room for manual overclocking. For the target audience—gamers focused on cost, power efficiency, and practicality—those trade-offs are likely acceptable.
In terms of performance-related specifications, the RX 9060 XT 16GB LP still keeps the key elements intact. You’re getting 2,048 stream processors and 16GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit bus, so memory capacity and memory subsystem characteristics remain closely aligned with the standard version. The main spec reduction appears in clock speeds, with the LP model listed at a 3050 MHz boost clock versus 3130 MHz on the non-LP card.
Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, and availability may be limited. Vastarmor primarily sells within China, so this specific custom low-profile triple-fan edition may not see a wide international release. That said, the RX 9060 XT LP has appeared on AMD’s global product listings, suggesting the low-power variant could still reach more regions through other board partners or via prebuilt systems from system integrators.
For anyone building a compact gaming PC and prioritizing 16GB of VRAM, modern display outputs, and better power efficiency, the RX 9060 XT 16GB LP concept is shaping up to be a compelling alternative to higher-wattage mainstream GPUs—even if the most eye-catching custom designs remain region-specific.
