A few months after leaks suggested a Rui Hachimura-themed G-Shock watch under the GM-5600 series, new images and pricing have emerged. Casio is indeed preparing another special-edition watch featuring the Japanese NBA player. This marks the fifth collaboration between Rui Hachimura and G-Shock, with a release set for August 2025, priced around ¥39,600/€279/~$268.
This latest model, the GM-5600RH-1, departs from previous resin-cased, colorful designs, opting instead for a sophisticated full-metal case. It boasts a sleek black and red dial, with Rui’s signature engraved on the strap keeper in red. The watch features a red-accented negative LCD display, framed by a brushed bezel, complementing the red icons and Hachimura’s logo at 12 o’clock on the face.
The design includes a matte resin strap reminiscent of standard 5600s, with the usual G-Shock steel tang buckle. It stays true to the GM-5600 template, a metal-cased upgrade from the iconic DW-5600, but the unique colorway and branding make it distinct.
Rui Hachimura’s previous collaborations with G-Shock, like the GM-110RH and GST-B100RH, featured bold contrasts and basketball-themed elements. In contrast, the new GM-5600RH-1 offers a more stylized look.
There’s no confirmation yet on whether this release will be available globally or limited to Japan and select regions, as seen with some earlier Hachimura releases. Regardless, with five collaborations, Rui is undoubtedly a significant player in Casio’s partnership strategy.
