Unveiling the Huawei Enjoy 70X: A Midrange Marvel Boasting a Massive Battery and Satellite Connectivity

Huawei has introduced its newest mid-range phone, the Enjoy 70X, exclusively for the Chinese market. Building on the legacy of its predecessor, the Huawei 60X, this smartphone presents a suite of alluring features that tech enthusiasts are bound to appreciate.

Though Huawei has kept the specifics of the Enjoy 70X’s processor under wraps, leaks from Geekbench hint that it is powered by the latest Kirin 8000A 5G chipset, paired with a Mali-G610 GPU and a robust 8 GB of RAM. The handset makes an unforgettable impression with its expansive 6.78-inch AMOLED display, boasting a sharp resolution of 2700 x 1224 pixels and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate.

In terms of design, the Enjoy 70X is designed to be sleek and portable, measuring 164 x 74.8 x 7.98 mm and weighing a mere 189 grams. It operates on HarmonyOS 4.2, though Huawei hasn’t yet confirmed the software support specifics.

One of the key attractions of the Enjoy 70X is its substantial 6,100 mAh battery, outlasting its counterparts like the Enjoy 70 Pro and Enjoy 70S, with a hefty 40 W wired charging capability. This feature ensures a quicker charge than its siblings, which support only 22.5 W.

Photography enthusiasts will find a lot to like with the Enjoy 70X’s dual rear camera setup, housing a powerful 50 MP primary camera featuring a 1/1.56” RYYB sensor, and a 2 MP depth sensor for adding depth to photos. An 8 MP front camera ensures that selfies are just as vivid.

Innovatively, the smartphone supports Beidou satellite connectivity for satellite messaging via the MeeTime app, although this function is restricted to users in China. Additionally, Huawei has incorporated a programmable X button that adds convenience to everyday tasks such as making payments or calls with one simple touch.

Aesthetic diversity comes with its color palette, offering choices of Lake Blue, Spruce Green, Snow White, and Gold Black. As for pricing, the Enjoy 70X starts at an affordable CNY 1,799 (about $246) for the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage model. Interested buyers can choose from models extending up to 512 GB, with prices reaching CNY 2,299 (approximately $314).

Eager consumers can already pre-order through Huawei’s official online store in China, with open sales set to kick off on January 10. This smartphone is poised to capture the attention of those seeking a blend of performance, aesthetics, and innovative technology.
