Ugreen Launches NASync DXP2800 GT: A Faster 2-Bay NAS With Ryzen Power and 10GbE Connectivity
Ugreen has introduced the NASync DXP2800 GT to the global market, giving home users, tech enthusiasts, and content creators a more powerful 2-bay NAS option with faster networking and upgraded performance. The new model arrives alongside a 4-bay version, but the DXP2800 GT stands out as a compact storage solution designed for users who want high-speed data access without moving to a larger NAS system.
One of the biggest visual changes is the redesigned chassis. Instead of the silver finish used on the previous generation, the NASync DXP2800 GT now features a more premium black and gold design. It gives the device a sharper, more modern appearance that fits well in a home office, studio setup, or small business workspace.
Inside, the DXP2800 GT is powered by an AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 processor. This is a notable upgrade over the Intel x86 12th Gen chip found in the standard DXP2800 model, making the GT version better suited for heavier workloads. Whether you are managing large media libraries, backing up multiple devices, running private cloud storage, or working with high-resolution video files, the improved processor should provide a smoother experience.
The NAS includes 8 GB of DDR4 RAM out of the box, but users who need more performance can expand the memory up to 64 GB. This makes the DXP2800 GT a flexible option for advanced users who may want to run multiple apps, handle virtualization tasks, or support more demanding network storage environments.
Storage support remains generous for a 2-bay NAS. The Ugreen NASync DXP2800 GT is compatible with 3.5-inch SATA hard drives, 2.5-inch SATA drives, and M.2 SSDs. In total, it supports up to 80 TB of storage, including two SATA drives of up to 32 TB each and two M.2 SSDs of up to 16 TB each. While there is no storage capacity increase compared to the previous model, the available configuration is still strong enough for large backups, media servers, creative projects, and personal cloud storage.
Connectivity is where the DXP2800 GT receives one of its most important upgrades. Ugreen has replaced the previous 2.5GbE setup with a 10GbE LAN port, allowing much faster network transfer speeds for users with compatible routers, switches, and computers. This is especially useful for video editors, photographers, and professionals who regularly move large files across a local network.
The rest of the port selection includes a 10Gbps USB-A port, a 10Gbps USB-C port, a 5Gbps USB-A port, two USB-A 2.0 ports, and an HDMI port. However, the device does not include an SD card slot, which may be a drawback for creators who prefer direct camera card transfers.
The Ugreen NASync DXP2800 GT is priced at $509.99. For its launch promotion, Ugreen is offering a 20% discount, reducing the price to $407.99 for a limited time. The NAS is now available through Ugreen’s official store and Amazon.
With its AMD Ryzen Embedded processor, expandable memory, 80 TB storage support, and upgraded 10GbE networking, the Ugreen NASync DXP2800 GT is positioned as an appealing choice for users looking for a fast and compact NAS for home, office, or creative work.
