Here’s how the promotion works. Shoppers in the UAE can receive the smartphone bed when they spend over Dhs 750 (about $204) in-store, with at least one item from the IKEA Complete Sleep Collection in their basket. That range appears to cover many sleep essentials like sheets, pillows, and duvets.
The tiny bed isn’t just a cute prop. It contains an integrated NFC chip that tracks how long your phone stays “tucked in.” If you leave your device in the bed for seven hours a night for seven consecutive nights, you’ll earn a Dhs 100 (around $27) IKEA voucher. It’s a clever nudge toward healthier sleep habits by encouraging you to step away from late-night scrolling.
A few practical details are worth noting. The smartphone bed requires self-assembly, just like the brand’s regular furniture. The set shown in the promotional video includes a plastic frame and a mattress insert. The miniature pillow and duvet seen in the ad don’t appear to be included. There’s also no built-in charging functionality, so you’ll need to charge your phone separately while it rests.
