Tokyo Clanpool Uncut Edition Revealed: The Definitive Release Is Coming

Boutique publisher eastasiasoft has revealed Tokyo Clanpool Uncut Edition, a fully uncensored release of the dungeon-crawling JRPG that restores content previously removed from international versions. The new edition is currently planned for an early 2026 launch, with physical preorders scheduled to open on January 22.

This announcement is especially notable for PC players who already bought Tokyo Clanpool digitally on GOG. When the Uncut Edition arrives, existing owners will be able to download an uncensor patch to restore the content that had to be cut from earlier releases. It’s a welcome move for fans who want the most complete version of the game without needing to rebuy it.

Tokyo Clanpool originally launched worldwide as a digital release in December 2024 on Nintendo Switch and PC (GOG), but that version was not uncut. With this upcoming release, eastasiasoft says the Uncut Edition will bring back all original Japanese content and also provide a faithful localization featuring English and Traditional Chinese text.

Alongside the content restoration, eastasiasoft has also confirmed a major update for console collectors: the Nintendo Switch release in North America and Europe has been canceled. That makes Tokyo Clanpool Uncut Edition on PC the definitive physical release for fans who want a boxed collector-friendly version.

The game was originally developed by Compile Heart and Idea Factory, while the Uncut Edition will be published exclusively by eastasiasoft. For collectors, the physical package is designed as a premium limited run. Instead of a standard disc, the game comes on a uniquely branded USB drive and is bundled with a soundtrack CD, an art book, a poster, sticker sheets, acrylic character standees, and a numbered certificate, all housed in a collector’s box.

The collector’s edition is priced at US$49.99 plus shipping, with fulfillment expected in early 2026. Only 1,000 units will be produced, making it a limited item for JRPG fans who missed out on a complete version the first time around. eastasiasoft also noted it appreciates players’ patience as the company prepared this special announcement.
