The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas

The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas Brings Holiday Mischief to PC and Consoles

The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas brings a new festive adventure to PC and consoles this September

The Grinch is returning for another holiday-themed video game adventure. Publisher Outright Games and developer Casual Brothers, working in collaboration with Dr. Seuss Enterprises, have announced The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas, a new 3D adventure game inspired by the timeless Dr. Seuss Christmas stories.

The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas is scheduled to launch on September 18 for Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

This new sequel follows the Grinch after his famous change of heart. No longer the Christmas-hating troublemaker he once was, the Grinch now wants to show Who-ville just how much he has changed. With Max by his side and a heart that has grown three sizes, he sets out on a cheerful mission to help create the most spectacular Christmas tree the town has ever seen.

Players will explore colorful and snowy 3D environments filled with festive details, hidden paths, collectibles, and platforming challenges. Locations include the winding tunnels of the Grinch’s Cave, the icy slopes of Mt. Crumpit, and the lively streets of Who-ville. Each area is designed to capture the charm, humor, and warmth associated with the classic holiday tale.

The adventure focuses on collecting sparkling ornaments, solving environmental puzzles, navigating obstacles, and spreading Christmas joy across Who-ville. Along the way, players will face enemies, discover secrets, and gather decorations needed to complete the town’s grand holiday celebration.

The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas can be played solo or in local co-op. In cooperative play, two players can team up as the Grinch and Max, making it a family-friendly experience suited for parents, children, and fans of holiday games. The developers are aiming for accessible gameplay, simple mechanics, and lighthearted fun that players of all ages can enjoy.

Robin Flodin, CEO of Outright Games Group, said the team is excited to bring the Grinch back in a new adventure that blends humor, festive energy, and heartwarming storytelling. He described the sequel as an expansion of what fans enjoyed in the first game, with a brighter 3D world, more Christmas surprises, and an experience built around bringing families together during the holiday season.

The Grinch first appeared in Dr. Seuss’s 1957 classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and has since become one of the most recognizable Christmas characters in the world. Over the decades, the character has appeared in books, movies, TV specials, stage productions, and games. With The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas, the beloved holiday icon is set to reach a new generation through an interactive Christmas adventure.

With its September release date, family-focused gameplay, local co-op support, and familiar Dr. Seuss charm, The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas looks positioned to become a cozy seasonal game for fans looking for a cheerful holiday adventure on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
