TCL’s X11L SQD-Mini LED TV Expands Globally with Up to 288Hz Refresh Rate

TCL is preparing to bring its flagship X11L SQD-Mini LED TV to more European buyers, following its CES 2026 showcase and earlier availability in the US. The premium 2026 lineup is expanding across additional markets, with the X11L arriving alongside other new models like the TCL C7L and C8L.

Positioned for viewers who want top-tier picture performance and smooth motion, the TCL X11L is a 4K Mini LED TV with a native 144Hz refresh rate. It will be sold in three large-screen options: 75-inch, 85-inch, and a massive 98-inch version, making it an appealing choice for home theater setups and big living rooms.

One of the headline features is color performance. TCL says the X11L covers 100% of the BT.2020 color space, a spec that will catch the eye of anyone shopping for wide color gamut TVs for HDR movies and premium streaming. The set also supports Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+, helping content look more accurate across different lighting conditions and HDR formats.

Mini LED backlighting is a major part of what makes this model stand out. Depending on the size you choose, the TCL X11L offers from 11,520 up to 20,736 local dimming zones, which should help deliver deeper blacks, brighter highlights, and improved contrast control in challenging scenes. TCL also lists an eye-catching peak HDR brightness figure for the largest model: up to 10,000 nits on the 98-inch version.

The TV uses a CSOT WHVA 2.0 panel designed to reduce reflections while keeping a wide viewing angle, useful for bright rooms and group viewing where people aren’t always sitting directly in front of the screen.

On the smart TV side, the X11L runs Google TV, offering access to popular streaming apps and a familiar interface for browsing shows, movies, and live content. It also supports Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Cast for wireless screen sharing and quick playback from phones, tablets, and laptops.

Gaming is clearly part of the package as well. Along with its native 144Hz refresh rate, the set includes a Game Bar and a 288Hz VRR Game Accelerator, aimed at smoother variable refresh rate gameplay and reduced stutter during fast action. Connectivity is ready for modern consoles and PCs, with four HDMI 2.1 ports and a side-mounted USB 3.0 port for easier access.

Sound is handled by integrated Bang & Olufsen speakers, with DTS Virtual:X compatibility for a more spacious audio effect without needing an external sound system.

Design is another selling point. TCL describes the X11L as ultra-slim, reaching about 2 cm (around 0.79 inches) at its thinnest point, with a nearly invisible border that keeps attention on the picture rather than the frame.

European pricing is already appearing at Italian retailer MediaWorld. The 75-inch model is listed at €3,999.90, the 85-inch at €5,699.90, and the 98-inch flagship at €8,999.90. The Italian listings suggest a release date of April 10. Availability dates for other EU countries and the UK have not been confirmed yet, but the wider European rollout appears to be underway.
