TCL has unveiled the NxtPaper 60 Ultra at IFA 2025, a mid-range smartphone built around a 120 Hz, paper-like display designed for comfortable, glare-free viewing even in bright sunlight. The star of the show is TCL’s NxtPaper 4.0 panel: a 7.2-inch IPS screen with FHD+ resolution that aims to cut reflections while preserving smooth scrolling and crisp detail.
For eye comfort, the display can dim down to just two nits and supports adaptive brightness and color temperature to reduce strain day and night. There’s also a dedicated NxtPaper key that instantly switches between Ink Paper, Max Ink Mode, and Color Paper modes, so you can tailor the screen’s look and feel for reading, sketching, or full-color browsing on the fly.
Powering the phone is the Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. A 5,200 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging keeps things going, while Android 15 comes preloaded for the latest software features and security. The NxtPaper 60 Ultra is also rated IP68 for water and dust resistance and includes NFC for tap-to-pay and quick pairing.
Photography is handled by a versatile triple camera setup on the back: a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization for steadier shots, a 50 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom for cleaner close-ups, and an 8 MP ultrawide for expansive landscapes and group photos. Up front, a 32 MP selfie camera promises sharp portraits and clear video calls.
Creatives and note-takers will appreciate support for T-Pen Magic, offering low-latency, pressure-sensitive stylus input. While the phone doesn’t include a built-in pen slot, TCL recommends a special case designed to carry both the handset and stylus together.
In Europe, the TCL NxtPaper 60 Ultra starts at €479.99, with availability also expected in LATAM and APAC regions.
