TCL announces new QM7 premium Mini LED TV with gaming features

TCL is expanding its array of televions with the addition of its new QM7 series, a premium 4K QD-Mini LED TV line that has been released in the United States. The QM7 fills the gap between the Q6 series and the flagship QM8 range, the latter of which boasts an impressive 115-inch display option. The new QM7 series is available in various sizes, with the largest being a staggering 98 inches.

This high-end model claims to deliver a brighter viewing experience, boasting an increase of 20% in brightness over its predecessor. These brightness capabilities are thanks to the Ultra LED backlighting, which can reach up to 2,400 nits. Depending on the display size you choose, the TV features up to 1,500 local dimming zones, enhancing contrast and black levels for a more immersive visual experience.

The QM7 series supports premium visual technologies such as Dolby Vision IQ, which adjusts picture settings according to ambient light, and IMAX Enhanced, offering a more cinematic experience. This is supplemented by a 120Hz refresh rate and coverage of 97% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, ensuring smooth and vibrant picture quality.

Audio hasn’t been overlooked either, with Onkyo 2.1 channel speakers integrated directly into the TV, offering a richer and more robust sound. The TV runs on a TCL AiPQ Pro processor and utilizes Google TV as its operating system, offering a wide range of streaming and app capabilities.

Gamers will be particularly drawn to the new TCL QM7 series as it includes multiple gaming-focused features. The Game Accelerator 240 supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) up to 240Hz, reducing screen tearing and lag for a smoother gaming experience. Additional features like auto low latency mode, a dedicated Game Bar, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro compatibility ensure that both casual and hardcore gamers enjoy their gaming sessions to the fullest.

TCL has set competitive pricing for the QM7 series, starting with the 55-inch model at $799.99, scaling up to the 98-inch behemoth at $4,999.99. Here’s the full pricing for the available sizes:
