Exciting details have emerged about DJI’s upcoming flagship drone, the Mavic 4. Recent leaks suggest that this new model will feature a major upgrade in its battery capacity, making it a significant improvement over its predecessors, the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Pro.
DJI seems to be gearing up for a busy season. Having already launched the Air 3S and the Neo earlier this year, it appears that the Mavic 4 is next in line. While DJI has yet to make an official announcement, the Mavic 4 has been spotted in several leaks over the past few months. Intriguingly, there are indications that DJI has submitted this new device to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), albeit under the guise of model numbers instead of a clear name.
The FCC documents introduce us to the identifiers ‘JV31’ and ‘JV32’, which are believed to be versions of the Mavic 4. These filings have sparked speculation that they could represent ‘Cine’ and ‘Pro’ variations, hinted at by industry insiders. More importantly, the FCC documentation reveals that these models are equipped with substantial 99.5 Wh batteries (14.76V/6,471 mAh), which is a notable upgrade compared to the Mavic 3 series’ 77 Wh (15.4V/5,000 mAh) batteries.
Thanks to this enhancement, potential users can look forward to extended flight times. The current models offer impressive durations of up to 46 minutes and 43 minutes, but the Mavic 4’s boosted battery capacity promises even longer airtime, elevating the drone’s performance to new heights.
While we await an official announcement from DJI, these teasers hint at promising advancements that drone enthusiasts can eagerly anticipate. Stay tuned as more details are likely to surface, offering a clearer picture of what DJI has in store with the Mavic 4.
