Detective Conan and Star Detective Precure! are officially joining forces for a special two-part crossover event, bringing mystery, magical girl action, and familiar fan-favorite characters together on screen for the first time.
The crossover begins with Episode 18 of Star Detective Precure!, which is scheduled to air on May 31. The episode will welcome Detective Conan characters Conan Edogawa, Ran Mouri, and Kogoro Mouri into the world of Star Detective Precure!.
In the story, an art piece is stolen, prompting Anna and Mikuru to investigate the case and search for the culprit. Their investigation takes an unexpected turn when Conan, Ran, and Kogoro happen to visit Makoto Mirai Town. After the two groups cross paths, they team up to track down the mysterious Phantom Thieves behind the crime.
The collaboration continues in a Detective Conan episode airing on June 6, where Cure Answer will make an appearance. This time, the mystery unfolds in Beika Town, where a series of jewel robberies has shaken the area.
Ayumi becomes especially excited about the case because it reminds her of a storyline from the Precure anime she loves. She even starts to believe that if the thieves appear, she might get the chance to meet a real Precure. When rumors spread that the next target is a jewelry store, Conan and the Junior Detective League are assigned to help guard it.
The young detectives manage to capture the thieves, but the case may not be as simple as it first appears. Just when things seem to be under control, Ayumi suddenly senses that something is wrong, setting up another twist in the crossover story.
Both Detective Conan and Precure have long histories of crossover events, but this marks the first time these two franchises have shared the screen in this way. Detective Conan, with around 30 years of history, has previously teamed up with titles such as Lupin the 3rd, Yatterman, Yaiba, and Hanyo no Yasha Hime. Precure has also collaborated with major series including Crayon Shin-chan, Dragon Ball, and Kamen Rider.
With two back-to-back episodes, a stolen artwork, jewel thieves, Beika Town mystery, and the arrival of Cure Answer, the Detective Conan x Star Detective Precure! crossover is shaping up to be a fun event for fans of both franchises. The special episodes air on May 31 and June 6.
