Spotify Wrapped may be the app’s most famous year-end tradition, but the streaming giant is now giving listeners another reason to check their stats. As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, Spotify has launched a limited-time experience that digs into your personal listening history and surfaces fun, shareable facts about your time on the platform.
This anniversary feature highlights details many users have probably wondered about but never had an easy way to find. It can show when you first joined Spotify, the very first song you streamed, and your most-listened-to artist. It also pulls your all-time favorites into a personalized recap that feels like a time capsule of your music habits.
Getting to the feature is simple: open the Spotify app and search for “Spotify 20” or “Party of the year(s)”. From there, Spotify will generate your customized results.
One of the biggest draws is a personalized playlist of your top 120 most-streamed songs. Alongside the track list, Spotify displays how many times you played each song, adding an extra layer of detail beyond what most playlists provide. The experience also shows how many unique songs you’ve listened to overall, which can be a surprisingly revealing snapshot of whether you’re a music explorer or someone who loves to keep favorite tracks on repeat.
Just like Spotify Wrapped, the anniversary recap is built for sharing. You can post stat cards and your personalized playlist with friends or on social media, making it easy to compare listening habits and spark conversations about favorite artists, throwback songs, and unexpected top plays.
Spotify says the 20th anniversary feature is available worldwide, but it won’t stick around for long. It’s only expected to be live for about six weeks, so anyone curious about their earliest plays or long-term listening patterns will want to check it out while it’s available.
The anniversary rollout follows other celebration updates from Spotify, including published roundups of the platform’s most-streamed artists so far, plus top albums, songs, and podcasts. And it’s no surprise the company is leaning into these kinds of interactive recaps: Spotify Wrapped has become one of the platform’s biggest engagement engines, drawing massive participation and an equally huge wave of social sharing year after year.
