Sony appears to be preparing its next premium Walkman, and early details suggest it could be one of the biggest upgrades the series has seen in years. The rumored Sony Walkman NW-ZX900 is expected to arrive in late 2026 or early 2027, positioning it as the likely successor to the NW-ZX707, which debuted alongside the NW-A306 in January 2023.
The timing makes sense. Several recent Walkman models have become harder to find in different markets, which often happens when Sony is clearing the way for refreshed hardware.
