Sony is giving its Inzone Buds a fresh new look and a more affordable price tag, making the popular true wireless gaming earbuds easier to recommend in 2026.
More than two years after the Inzone Buds first launched in Black and White, Sony has introduced a third option called Glass Purple. Unlike the original solid colors, Glass Purple has a translucent design that lets you see parts of the internal components for a more tech-forward, gamer aesthetic. The earbuds also use a two-part finish: the outer shell looks glossy, while the inner section has a matte texture.
The color update doesn’t stop at the earbuds. Sony is matching the entire package in purple, including the charging case and the USB-C dongle. Those accessories stick with a matte finish rather than the earbuds’ mixed glossy-and-matte styling, giving the set a clean, uniform appearance.
Alongside the new color, Sony has dropped the price of the Inzone Buds in a big way. The earbuds originally sold for $239.99, but they’re now down to $179.99, a $60 discount that applies across all available colors, including the new Glass Purple version. Shoppers focused purely on the best deal may also find the Black model priced even lower through other retailers, depending on current promotions.
If you’re shopping specifically for wireless gaming earbuds for PS5, PC, or mobile, the Inzone Buds are built for that role. Sony says they were designed in collaboration with professional gamers and include key features aimed at competitive play and communication. That includes active noise cancellation, 360 spatial audio for gaming, and a 2.4GHz wireless connection via the included USB-C dongle for low-latency gameplay. There’s also AI noise reduction meant to keep your voice clearer during chats, even in louder environments.
Battery life is another strong point. Sony rates the earbuds at up to 12 hours on a charge, with up to 24 hours total when you include the charging case.
With the new Glass Purple colorway and a significant price cut, the Sony Inzone Buds are positioning themselves as a more compelling option for anyone looking for premium true wireless earbuds optimized for gaming, especially for PS5 players and PC gamers who want a dedicated low-latency wireless setup.
