Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Specs Unveiled: Major Leak Highlights SoC’s LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 Support

A recent leak has once again sparked excitement among technology enthusiasts, revealing a comprehensive breakdown of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s inner workings. Contrary to initial rumors, this chipset won’t feature the anticipated upgrade to LPDDR6 RAM, sticking instead with the tried-and-true LPDDR5X standard. This surpasses standard 4K resolution, although it is ultimately up to original equipment manufacturers to embrace such high-resolution displays.

Though the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 may share many foundational design aspects with its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, there is hope that the custom Oryon CPU cores will deliver substantial performance gains. Previous benchmark findings from the OnePlus 13 on Geekbench 6 hinted at potential improvements in both single-core and multi-core performance.
