Sofirn SE1 Pro launches as a magnetic wrist flashlight with high-CRI lighting and USB-C charging
Sofirn has introduced the SE1 Pro, a new upgraded version of its compact SE1 flashlight. Designed for hands-free lighting, the SE1 Pro keeps the wearable wristband design of the original model while adding more refined light quality, improved color accuracy, and a new RGBW LED setup.
The main appeal of the Sofirn SE1 Pro is its magnetic wrist-mounted design. Instead of holding the flashlight in your hand, you can attach it to the included wristband and wear it like a watch. This makes it especially useful for camping, night walks, repairs, roadside emergencies, fishing, cycling, or any task where both hands need to stay free. The flashlight can also be removed quickly from the wristband thanks to its magnetic attachment system.
Compared with the original SE1, the SE1 Pro is slightly heavier, increasing from 0.71 oz to 0.74 oz. That is still extremely lightweight and lighter than many smartwatches, though its flashlight shape makes it more noticeable on the wrist. The wristband also includes a clip, giving users more flexibility in how they carry or attach the light.
One of the biggest upgrades is the move to a neutral white 5,000K color temperature. The older SE1 used a cooler white light in the 6,000K to 6,500K range. The new 5,000K output should look more natural and comfortable, especially for close-up tasks or long periods of use.
Sofirn has also improved color accuracy with a Color Rendering Index of at least 90. A high CRI flashlight helps colors appear closer to how they look in natural daylight. This can be useful for inspections, repairs, outdoor work, photography assistance, or any situation where accurate color detail matters.
The SE1 Pro uses an RGBW tri-color LED system. Along with white light, it can emit red, green, and blue light from the front. These color modes can be useful for preserving night vision, signaling, map reading, or adding visibility in different environments. However, the UV light found on the previous version has been removed.
In terms of brightness, the Sofirn SE1 Pro can reach up to 300 lumens. That peak output is available for about one minute before the flashlight steps down to 70 lumens to manage heat and power consumption. For extended use, the Moonlight mode provides 1 lumen and can run for up to 23 hours, according to Sofirn.
Power comes from a built-in, non-replaceable battery that charges through USB Type-C. This makes the flashlight easy to recharge with common cables and power sources, including wall chargers, laptops, power banks, and car adapters.
The Sofirn SE1 Pro is expected to launch on August 13, 2026. The company plans to offer it at an introductory price lower than the original SE1, making it an interesting option for anyone looking for a compact rechargeable wrist flashlight with high-CRI neutral white lighting and versatile color modes.
