Satisfactory Unveils Core Values Expansion with Fresh Factory-Building Depth

Satisfactory is heading underground with a major new expansion called Core Values, and it sounds like one of the game’s biggest additions yet. Coffee Stain Studios has revealed that the upcoming DLC will take players beneath the surface of MASSAGE 2(A-B)b, opening up a new subterranean world filled with fresh story content, new resources, additional factory buildings, alien mysteries, and unfamiliar creatures.

Satisfactory: Core Values will expand the popular factory-building and exploration game beyond its surface-level industrial sprawl. Instead of simply building across open landscapes, Pioneers will soon be able to dig deep into the planet’s crust, mantle, and core to continue FICSIT’s mission in a dangerous underground environment.

The expansion is currently in development, and an official release date has not yet been announced. However, Coffee Stain Studios confirmed that Core Values is planned for a same-day release across all supported platforms, including Windows PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Humble Store, as well as Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

The Core Values expansion introduces a new underground setting packed with cavern biomes to explore. These vast cave systems will bring new flora, fauna, hostile creatures, passive wildlife, and even a friendly feline companion for players to encounter. The deeper players travel, the more secrets they will uncover about the planet and the strange alien anomalies hidden beneath its surface.

Players will be able to access the DLC after reaching Tier 3 of HUB research and constructing the Space Elevator. From there, the expansion can be played at the player’s own pace. Pioneers can move between the main Satisfactory storyline and the new Core Values content whenever they choose, allowing for a flexible progression path.

A major focus of Satisfactory: Core Values is underground factory construction. Unlike the open spaces found above ground, the caves below MASSAGE 2(A-B)b will create new building challenges. Natural rock formations, tight spaces, and uneven terrain will force players to rethink how they design and expand their production lines.

To help with these challenges, the expansion will introduce new factory buildings, tools, equipment, and production systems. Players can expect new methods for mining, transporting, and processing resources found only in the underground environment. These additions aim to make Core Values feel distinct from the base game while still preserving the satisfying automation and factory-building gameplay fans love.

The expansion will also add more alien mystery to the Satisfactory universe. While FICSIT’s mission remains focused on productivity, efficiency, and resource exploitation, curious Pioneers will have plenty of strange discoveries waiting in the dark. As players progress through the DLC’s story, they will unlock new research, buildings, and production lines while learning more about the world they are transforming.

Core Values will also make travel between the surface and underground areas easier once players unlock access to the subterranean world. This should allow factories above and below ground to work together smoothly, giving players more freedom to build complex connected systems across different layers of the planet.

While many details are still being saved for a later reveal, Coffee Stain Studios has made it clear that Satisfactory: Core Values is designed to offer a substantial new experience. Between its underground biomes, new creatures, unique resources, extra story content, and fresh production mechanics, the expansion could significantly change how players approach factory planning and exploration.

The base game will continue receiving regular updates while Core Values remains in development, with improvements planned for players across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

Satisfactory is already known for blending open-world exploration, automation, resource management, and large-scale factory construction. With Core Values, the game is preparing to go deeper than ever before, giving Pioneers a new frontier to exploit, explore, and industrialize beneath the planet’s surface.
