SanDisk has introduced a new compact USB-C flash drive lineup called the CZB Series, designed for people who need quick, portable storage for today’s laptops, tablets, phones, and other USB-C devices.
The new SanDisk CZB USB-C flash drives are small, lightweight, and built for everyday convenience. Each drive measures under two inches long and weighs around 6 grams, making it easy to slip into a pocket, bag, or attach to a keychain. The black casing includes a built-in loop for a lanyard or keyring, which should help users keep the drive close at hand while traveling, working, or moving between devices.
The CZB Series is aimed at users who want a simple way to transfer files between modern devices, especially as more notebooks and mobile devices move away from older USB-A ports. With USB-C becoming the standard on many computers and tablets, a compact USB-C thumb drive can be useful for copying documents, moving photos, backing up files, or sharing data without needing an adapter.
SanDisk’s new drives use the USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard, which supports bandwidth of up to 5Gbps. The company lists sequential read speeds of up to 250MB/s. That level of performance should be enough for common storage tasks such as moving work files, transferring images, saving school documents, or backing up personal folders.
However, the CZB Series is not positioned as a high-performance external SSD replacement. Users who need to edit large video projects directly from removable storage or regularly move very large media files may still want a faster external drive. For everyday file transfers and portable backups, though, the new SanDisk USB-C flash drives should be a practical option.
Compatibility includes Windows 10, Windows 11, and macOS Monterey or later. SanDisk also offers an optional app for supported devices, giving users extra tools for backup and file management.
In the United States, the SanDisk CZB Series is available in three storage capacities:

128GB for $25
256GB for $43
All three versions come with a three-year warranty.
The drives have also launched in China, with wider availability expected in regions including Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific markets. SanDisk has not yet provided a full rollout schedule for each region.
With its small design, USB-C connection, and affordable starting price, the SanDisk CZB Series looks like a straightforward storage solution for users who want a lightweight flash drive for daily transfers, backups, and on-the-go file access.
