Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Crowned as Slimmest Foldable Smartphone in Recent Discoveries

A recent investigation has revealed some surprising details about the thickness of popular foldable smartphones. Conducted by the Korean Consumer-Centered Enterprise Association (KCEA) and reported by Business Korea, the study has shed light on how some devices differ from their advertised dimensions.

Starting with the Magic V5, it’s been noted that this model is thicker than initially claimed. While reports suggested a sleek 8.95 mm thickness, the reality is a slightly more robust 9.34 mm, even for the thinnest Ivory White version.

This pattern continues with other models. The X Fold5 and Mate X6, for example, exceed their advertised measurements by over 0.5 mm. Meanwhile, the Mix Fold 4 is a mere 0.14 mm thicker than Xiaomi’s official spec of 9.47 mm, a small yet notable discrepancy.

Adding to this interesting lineup is the Galaxy Z Fold7, which outdoes Samsung’s measurements as well. This foldable powerhouse measures in at 8.82 mm thick, marginally thinner than the company’s official numbers suggest.

It’s worth noting that despite Samsung being a member of the KCEA, there is no indication that the organization’s findings were influenced by the tech giant. Should there be any official statements from the manufacturers, updates will follow.

These revelations provide valuable insights for consumers keen on the most accurate specs when choosing their next foldable smartphone.
