Samsung Galaxy A Series Prices Rise in the US, but Amazon Deals Help Soften the Blow
Samsung’s latest Galaxy A series phones have become more expensive in the United States, adding to the growing frustration among shoppers looking for affordable 5G smartphones. The price hikes affect several current-generation models, including the Galaxy A17 5G, Galaxy A27 5G, Galaxy A37 5G, and Galaxy A57 5G.
The increase appears to reflect the broader rise in smartphone production costs, especially for key components such as memory, storage, and other hardware parts. As manufacturing becomes more expensive, phone makers are not only launching new models at higher prices but also adjusting the prices of devices that are already on the market.
The Galaxy A17 5G has now climbed to $269.99 on Samsung’s US store. That is $20 more than its previous price and marks another jump from its original launch price of $199.99. For a phone that was designed to appeal to budget-conscious buyers, the increase makes it less of a bargain than it once was.
Fortunately, shoppers still have a way to save. Amazon is currently offering the Galaxy A17 5G for $248.99, which is about 8% lower than Samsung’s updated price. The deal applies to the Black, Blue, and Gray color options, and it is the US version with a one-year manufacturer warranty.
The Galaxy A27 5G has also gone up in price. It now sells for $379.99, which is $30 higher than its launch price. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A37 5G has seen a larger $40 increase, bringing its official price to $489.99.
For anyone considering the Galaxy A37 5G, Amazon currently offers a much more attractive deal. The phone is available for $399.99 in Lavender and White, making it nearly $90 cheaper than Samsung’s listed price. Since the Galaxy A27 5G is not currently available through Amazon and the discounted Galaxy A37 costs only slightly more, the Galaxy A37 deal stands out as the better value.
The Galaxy A57 5G has also been affected by the latest price adjustments. The 128GB version now costs $599.99, while the 256GB model is listed at $679.99. That puts the Galaxy A57 closer to premium mid-range territory, especially for buyers who want more storage.
Once again, Amazon appears to offer a far better price. The international version of the Galaxy A57 5G with 256GB of storage is listed for around $417 to $419.99, depending on the color. While this version is not sold directly by Amazon, it ships through Amazon. Buyers should note that it does not include a US manufacturer warranty, though the listing says it works with AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and supported MVNO networks.
The rising prices are disappointing, especially since smartphones usually become more affordable after spending months on the market. Instead, buyers are now seeing older models cost more than they did at launch. Still, the current discounts make it possible to grab select Galaxy A series phones at much better prices than Samsung’s official listings.
For anyone shopping for a Samsung 5G phone in the US, it may be worth comparing prices carefully before buying. The Galaxy A17 5G remains one of the more affordable options, the Galaxy A37 5G currently offers strong value at its discounted price, and the Galaxy A57 5G international model could be appealing for users who want more storage at a lower cost. Price and availability can change quickly, so buyers looking for the best Galaxy A series deal should act while discounts are still available.
