Rode Wireless Micro now comes in bold new colors with a lower $99 price
Less than a year after launch, Rode has given its compact smartphone-friendly mic system a splash of color and a welcome price drop. The Wireless Micro is now available in three fresh finishes—red, blue, and a bright, racing-inspired orange—each paired with a matching charging case and furry windshield. It’s the same pocketable setup creators love, now with more personality.
There are a couple of practical notes with the new palette. While the original black and white models are offered with either USB-C or Lightning receivers, the new red, blue, and orange versions ship with a USB-C receiver only. That makes them a perfect fit for current USB-C iPhones and most Android phones.
Functionally, nothing else changes—and that’s a good thing. The Wireless Micro still auto-pairs so you can start recording fast on Android and iPhone. You can also skip the receiver and connect a transmitter directly to your phone over Bluetooth when using the Rode Capture app on iOS.
The best part is the pricing. The Wireless Micro now starts at $99, down from its original $149.99 launch price. Depending on the retailer, you may even see the white variant dip slightly lower.
Why this update matters:
– More style choices to match your gear or brand
– USB-C standardization for the new colorways
– Same simple, creator-friendly workflow
– More accessible price for first-time buyers and multi-mic setups
If you’ve been waiting to upgrade your mobile audio or want a second kit for interviews and vlogging, the Wireless Micro’s new colors and lower price make it an easy recommendation. Choose the shade that fits your setup and start recording right away.
